When I treat someone with anxiety, I’m continuing to look at their symptoms through a trauma-informed lens, knowing that until very recently, PTSD was categorized as an anxiety disorder.
What is anxiety?
Common Symptoms of anxiety:
“Persistent, excessive fear or worry in situations that are not threatening.”
Headaches, fatigue, and insomnia
Feelings of apprehension or dread
Feeling tense or jumpy
Restlessness or irritability
Anticipating the worst and being watchful for signs of danger
